DESCRIPTION:High-throughput sequencing of RNA libraries (RNA-seq) has becom
 e increasingly common and has become the industry standard for transcripto
 me profiling. When processed appropriately\, RNA-seq data has the potentia
 l to provide an exceptionally rich view of the transcriptome. The CBW has 
 developed a 3-day course providing an introduction to bulk RNA-seq data an
 alysis followed by integrated tutorials demonstrating the use of popular R
 NA-seq analysis packages. The tutorials are designed as self-contained uni
 ts that include example data (Illumina paired-end RNA-seq data) and detail
 ed instructions for installation of all required bioinformatics tools (HIS
 AT\, StringTie\, Kallisto\, etc.). This is a distributed workshop. It wil
 l be offered simultaneously in two locations. Instructors\, TAs\, and faci
 litators will be present at each venue and lectures will be broadcast back
  and forth.
