 rkplace for all the collaborators. This process includes adopting new poli
 cies (like the Bullying and Harassment policy)\, implementing different in
 itiatives and also training. A lot of what we experience as workplace cult
 ure or climate is mitigated by behaviour and interpersonal interactions. 
  Research has shown that an active bystander approach can really support 
 workplace inclusion. When the majority of the collaborators are skilled in
  active bystander intervention (the 5 Ds approach) and are empowered to ca
 ll out problematic behaviour\, unwanted behaviour becomes socially unaccep
 table and decreases. And when workplace safety and inclusion is improved\,
  workplace outcomes also improve. Therefore\, active bystanders are a very
  important stakeholder in achieving inclusive excellence across VIB.
