DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nThis course covers the modern features of the Fo
 rtran programming language. Topics include object-oriented features\, lang
 uage interoperability and several other enhancements included in Fortran 2
 008 standard. In addition\, a way to express distributed memory parallelis
 m via Fortran coarrays will be discussed in detail.\n\nThe course provides
  an overview on all relevant features of Fortran beyond the 95 standard. Y
 ou will also be able to write parallel programs using the Fortran coarrays
  concept.\n\nLearning outcome\n\nThe course provides an overview on all th
 e relevant features of Fortran beyond the 95 standard. You also will be ab
 le to write parallel programs using the Fortran coarrays concept. \n\nPrer
 equisites\n\nSolid knowledge of Fortran 95/2003. The concepts discussed in
  the PATC introduction course Fortran Programming for Scientific Computing
  is the minimum. Knowledge on C will also be needed for understanding the 
 topics on the language interoperability. Familiarity with parallel program
 ming with message-passing interface (MPI) standard will be assumed when di
 scussing the Fortran coarrays. In addition\, some familiarity with object-
