 knowledge of Fortran beyond what is provided in the Fortran 95 standard. S
 ome other tools relevant for software engineering are also discussed. Topi

 ation and handling of shared libraries\n	\n		mixed language programming\n	
 \n		standardized IEEE arithmetic and exceptions\n	\n		I/O extensions from 
 Fortran 2003\n	\n		parallel programming with coarrays\n	\n		source code ve
 rsioning system (subversion)\n\nTo consolidate the lecture material\, each
  day's approximately 4 hours of lecture are complemented by 3 hours of han
