DESCRIPTION:This is a two day course\, running on the 14th and 16th July 20
 21\n\n09:30 to 17:00 each day\n\nOverview\n\nThis course is aimed at progr
 ammers seeking to deepen their understanding of MPI and explore some of it
 s more recent and advanced features. We cover topics including exploiting 
 shared-memory access from MPI programs\, communicator management and neigh
 bourhood collectives. We also look at performance aspects such as which MP
 I routines to use for scalability\, MPI internal implementation issues and
  overlapping communication and calculation.\n\nIntended learning outcomes\
 n\n\n	Understanding of how internal MPI implementation details affect perf
 ormance\n	Techniques for overlapping communications and calculation\n	Know
 ledge of MPI memory models for RMA operations\n	Understanding of best prac
 tice for MPI+OpenMP programming\n	Familiarity with neighbourhood collectiv
 e operations in MPI\n\n\nPre-requisites\n\nAttendees should be familiar wi
 th MPI programming in C\, C++ or Fortran\, e.g. have attended the ARCHER2
