DESCRIPTION:Chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by sequencing (ChIP-seq)
is a method used to identify binding sites for transcription factors\, hi
stone modifications and other DNA-binding proteins across the genome. In t
his course\, we will cover the fundamentals of ChIP-seq data analysis\, fr
om raw data to downstream applications. \n\nWe will start with an introduc
tion to ChIP-seq methods\, including important considerations when designi
ng your experiments. We will cover the bioinformatic steps in a standard C
 hIP-seq analysis workflow\, covering raw data quality control\, trimming/f
 iltering\, mapping\, duplicate removal\, post-mapping quality control\, pe
ak calling and peak annotation. We will discuss metrics used for quality a
ssessment of the called peaks when multiple replicates are available\, as
well as the analysis of differential binding across sample groups. Through
out the course we will also cover tools and packages that can be used for
visualising and exploring your results.\n\n\nIf you do not have a Universi
 ty of Cambridge [Raven account](https://legacy.raven.cam.ac.uk/auth/accoun
t/) please book or register your interest [here](http://bioinfotraining.bi
 o.cam.ac.uk/booking-form/?event-id=4752638&amp\;course-title=Analysis%20of
 %20ChIP-seq%20data).\n\nAdditional information\n\n* Our courses are only f
ree for registered University of Cambridge students. All other participant
s will be charged according to our [charging policy](http://www.training.
cam.ac.uk/bioinformatics/info/charging).\n* Attendance will be taken on al
l courses and a charge is applied for non-attendance\, including for Unive
rsity of Cambridge students. After you have booked a place\, if you are un
able to attend any of the live sessions\, please email the [Bioinfo Team](
 https://training.csx.cam.ac.uk/bioinformatics/info/contact).\n* Further de
tails regarding eligibility criteria are available [here](http://www.train
 ing.cam.ac.uk/bioinformatics/info/eligibility).
