DESCRIPTION:Run jointly with [Wellcome Connecting Science](https://courses
 andconferences.wellcomeconnectingscience.org/)\, this course will provide
participants with an introduction to a range of bioinformatics resources
and approaches applicable to immunological research. The resources introdu
ced during the course will cover a variety of data types\, from genomic an
d proteomic data to computational models\, biological pathways\, and react
ion information. Participants will gain experience of the analysis pipelin
es for NGS experiments relevant to immunology and will be led through an e
xploration of this data to identify information of interest. Additionally\
, participants will be introduced to how data from several sources can be
integrated to provide a wider view of their research\, thereby enabling th
em to be more confident users of their own data and that from public sourc
es.\n\n#### Virtual course\n\nParticipants will learn via a mix of pre-rec
orded lectures\, live presentations\, trainer Q&amp\;A sessions and hands-
on training. Practical experience will be developed through group activiti
es and trainer-led computational exercises. Live sessions will be delivere
d using [Zoom](https://zoom.us/) with additional support and communication
  via [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-gb/). \n\nPre-recorded material wi
ll be made available to registered participants before the start of the co
urse. Computational practicals will run on EMBL-EBI's virtual training inf
rastructure\, meaning participants will not require access to a powerful c
omputer or install complex software on their machines.\n\nParticipants wil
l need to be available between the hours of 09:00-17:30 BST each day of th
e course. Trainers will be available to assist\, answer questions\, and fu
rther explain the analysis during these times.
