DESCRIPTION:[The Open Microscopy Environment](https://www.openmicroscopy.or
g/) (OME) is an open-source software project that develops tools that enab
le access\, analysis\, visualization\, sharing and publication of biologic
 al image data.\n\nOME has three components:\n\n* OME-TIFF\, standardised f
ile format and data model\;\n* Bio-Formats\, a software library for readin
 g proprietary image file formats\; and\n* OMERO\, a software platform for
image data management and analysis.\n\nIn this one day course\, we will pr
esent the OMERO platform\, and show how to transition from manual data pro
cessing to automated processing workflows. We will introduce how to write
applications against the OMERO API\, how to integrate a variety of process
ing tools with OMERO and how to automatically generate output ready for pu
blication.\n\nThis course is organized alongside a one day course on Biolo
gical Imaging Data Management for Life Scientists. More information on thi
 s event are available [here](https://training.csx.cam.ac.uk/bioinformatics
/event/2239247).\n\nThis course will be delivered by members of the OMERO
team. The OME project is supported by BBSRC and Wellcome Trust. \n\nPlease
note that if you are not eligible for a University of Cambridge [Raven](h
