DESCRIPTION:Educators:\nAltuna Alkalin\, Verdan Franke\, Bora Uyar (RBC/deN
 BI-epi Scientists from Berlin)\n\nDate:\n23-25 September 2020\n\nLocation:
\nOnline\n\nContents:\nThe general aim of the course is to equip participa
nts with practical and technical knowledge to analyze single cell RNA-seq
data. With this aim in mind\, we will go through unsupervised machine lear
ning methods to analyze high-dimensional data sets\, and move on to statis
tical methods developed to analyze bulk RNA-seq. Lastly\, we will introduc
e analysis techniques used for single cell RNA-seq.\n\nThere will be theor
etical lectures followed by practical sessions where students directly app
ly what they have learned. The programming will be mainly done in R.\n\n
Day 1: Intro to machine learning &amp\; data visualization for genomics\
 n Day 2: Bulk RNA-seq analysis\n Day 3: Single cell RNA-seq analysis
\n\nLearning goals:\nThe course will be beneficial for first year computat
ional biology PhD students\, and experimental biologists and medical scien
tists who want to begin data analysis or are seeking a better understandin
g of computational genomics and analysis of popular sequencing methods.r\n
\nPrerequisites:\nSome statistics and R programming experience will be goo
d to keep up with the course. Practicals will be done in R.\n\nKeywords:\n
 Computational genomics\, RNA-seq\, Machine learing\,\n\nTools:\nR/Biocondu
