About the Event:
A showcase of jobs and career paths in the area of Statistical Computing and Machine Learning.
This afternoon event (co-organised by the Statistical Computing section and the East Midlands local group of the Royal Statistical Society) will provide a unique opportunity to hear first-hand the experiences and insights of statisticians and machine learners working in a variety of places.

The speakers will discuss how they use statistics and machine learning in their jobs, which led them to these careers and offer tips for students interested in following a similar career path.
The talks will be followed by a Q&A panel and then a wine reception for networking and further discussion.
Whether you are thinking of a career in statistics involving Computational Statistics and/or Machine Learning, or simply interested in seeing some of the variety of places these fields find application, this is an event not to miss!
