 hy of the course is to treat statistics as a practical skill rather than a
 s a theoretical subject and as such the course focuses on methods for addr
 essing real-life issues in the biological sciences.\n\nThere are three cor
 e goals for this course:\n\n#	Use R or Python confidently for statistics a
 nd data analysis\n#	Be able to analyse datasets using standard statistical
  techniques\n#	Know which tests are and are not appropriate\n\n\nBoth R an
 d Python are free software environments that are suitable for statistical 
 and data analysis.\n\nIn this course\, we explore classical statistical an
 alysis techniques starting with simple hypothesis testing and building up 
 to linear models and power analyses. The focus of the course is on practic
 al implementation of these techniques and developing robust statistical an
 alysis skills rather than on the underlying statistical theory.\n\nAfter t
 he course you should feel confident to be able to select and implement com
