DESCRIPTION:Duration\n\nThe workshop will take place 3 - 8 February 2019 a
t Station Biologique de Roscoff\, France\n\nObjectives\n\nThis workshop fo
cuses on the large-scale study of heterogeneity across individual cells fr
om a genomic\, transcriptomic and epigenomic point of view. New technologi
cal developments enable the characterization of molecular information at a
single cell resolution for large numbers of cells. The high dimensional o
mics data that these technologies produce come with novel methodological c
hallenges for the analysis. In this regard\, specific bioinformatics and s
tatistical methods have been developed in order to extract robust informat
ion.\n\nThe workshop aims to provide such methods for engineers and resear
chers directly involved in functional genomics project making use of singl
e-cell. A wide range of single cell topics will be covered in lectures\, d
emonstrations and practical classes. Among others\, the areas and issues t
o be addressed will include the choice of the most appropriate single-cell
sequencing technology\, the experimental design and the bioinformatics an
d statistical methods and pipelines.\n\nAudience\n\nThis course is directe
d towards engineers and researchers who regularly need to undertake single
-cell data analysis as well as PhD Student and Post Doc in computational b
iology or bioinformatics that are interested in the development of methods
and pipelines for highly dimensional single-cell data analysis.\n\nWorkin
g environment\n\nUnix command will be used for bioinformatic analysis\, an
 d R programming language for statistical analysis.\n\nRequirements\n\nUnde
rstanding of bioinformatics tools and pipelines for next generation sequen
cing data (RNA-seq or Hi-C or ATAC-seq bulk). Participants must have prior
experience on NGS data analysis with R and basic Unix command line skills
 .\n\nRegistration\n\nDeadline : 15th novembre 2018 (participants selectio
n: end of November 2018). As the number of participants is limited (30 par
ticipants)\, the steering committee will retain candidates on the basis of
the information inquired on the registration form.\n\nFrais d’inscripti
on pour les personnels académiques\n\nRegistration fees. A) Academy/Unive
 rsity: 600€HT=720€TTC \; B) Private sector: 1.750€HT=2.100€TTC. Th
e registration fee includes accommodation and meals.\n\nScientific coordin
