DESCRIPTION:Dummy event for testing purposes\n \n\nA practical i
ntroduction to data analysis and visualisation using the R programming lan
guage.\n\nR is one of the leading programming languages for statistical co
mputing and data science and is widely used for data analysis\, visualisat
ion and statistical modelling. This course introduces the core skills need
ed to work effectively with scientific datasets in R\, with an emphasis on
exploratory data analysis\, data manipulation and visualisation.\n\nThe c
ourse is entirely based on open-source software\, and all tools used durin
g the training are freely available.\n\nBy the end of the course\, partici
pants should be able to:\n\n* work confidently with R and interactive codi
ng environments\n* import\, inspect and perform quality control checks on
tabular datasets\n* manipulate and reshape datasets for downstream analysi
s\n* summarise and analyse grouped data\n* create and customise data visua
lisations suitable for scientific communication\n* combine datasets using
shared identifiers and resolve common data-cleaning issues\n\nTeaching is
primarily hands-on\, combining short presentations with live coding demons
trations and guided practical exercises.\n\n\n Book this event or regis
ter interest\n Please choose the section that applies to you.\n \n
