 a-Maria Möller\, Daniela Dey (both WGGC)\n\nDate:\n17 September (9:00 - 1
 0:30)\n\nLocation:\nBonn - EPPS2025 (https://epps2025.plant-phenotyping-ne
 twork.de/EPPS_Home)\n\nContents:\nIn this 90-minute hands-on workshop\, pa
rticipants will learn how to load\, explore\, and visualize small-scale NG
S transcriptomic count data using Python in Galaxy Hub’s JupyterLab envi
ronment. After a brief introduction to NGS data and its importance\, we wi
ll dive into practical work with pandas to inspect and manipulate the data
. Participants will then explore basic statistics and create quick histogr
ams to interpret count distributions. In the final block\, we will generat
e polished plots using seaborn and matplotlib\, with optional challenges f
or advanced participants. The session concludes with a short discussion on
how these foundational skills prepare for more complex transcriptomic ana
lyses like normalization or PCA.\n\nThe workshop is a cooperation between
de.NBI &amp\; ELIXIR-DE and the West German Genome Center (WGGC)\n\nLearni
ng goals:\n- Get familiar with the programming language Python (no pre-kno
wledge required)\n- build a basic understanding of data handling and\n- vi
