DESCRIPTION: \n\n \n\nELIXIR is celebrating its fifth anniversary by host
 ing an event entitled 'Open Data for Impact and Innovation'. The event is 
 aimed at funders\, policy-makers\, industry representatives\, and ELIXIR p
 artners.\n\nAs an ESFRI landmark infrastructure\, ELIXIR's role is to coor
 dinate\, integrate and sustain Europe's life science data resources. Since
  its establishment in December 2014\, ELIXIR has grown to become the large
 st ESFRI research infrastructure in terms of Membership by countries. Thro
 ugh its first Scientific Programme (2014-2018) and a major Horizon 2020-fu
 nded project - ELIXIR EXCELERATE - ELIXIR has delivered many new services
  and activites for users.\n\nThrough a series of talks\, ELIXIR will prese
 nt its achievements from the past five years and describe the priorities f
 or the next Scientific Programme (2019-2023). Complementary talks from hig
 h profile external speakers including Jean-Eric Paquet (Director General\,
  Directorate General Research and Innovation\, European Commission)\, Dame
  Janet Thornton (member of the Scientific Council\, European Research Coun
 cil) and Gabriela Pastori (BBSRC\, and Chair of ESFRI Food and Health Stra
