DESCRIPTION:In the webinar\, the ELIXIR Compute platform a showcase how ELI
 XIR supports transfer of large volumes of confidential\, electronic\, huma
 n data\, while maintaining appropriate access rights. It will give an over
 view of an improved support to researchers in accessing and processing sen
 sitive data from European Genome-Phenome Archive (EGA).\n\nThe demonstrati
 on will present a scenario where a researcher first discovers data through
  the central EGA website. The resarchers is then directed to use ELIXIR Au
 thentication and Authorisation Infrastructure (ELIXIR AAI) to apply for th
 e data access. The application is communicated to the appropriate Data Acc
 ess Committee (DAC)\, and access is granted.\n\nTo store and analyse the d
 ata\, the researcher can use local storage and computing resources made av
 ailable  from a distributed ELIXIR cloud service: The researcher requests
  the ELIXIR Node offering the cloud service to transfer the dataset from t
 he EGA data resource to the cloud service. Transferred data are then valid
 ated and moved to a secure location accessible to the cloud virtual machin
 es. The ELIXIR cloud service notifies the researcher when the data are rea
 dy to be used. The researcher will then gain access to the data by authent
 icating with ELIXIR AAI\, which links information that a valid DAC approva
 l is associated with the researchers electronic identity.\n\nThis is a dem
 onstrator of the ELIXIR Compute Platform and a deliverable under ELIXIR E
