DESCRIPTION:This workshop will provide an introduction to existing solution
 s and methods for registries across a variety of areas relevant to bioinfo
 rmatics\, such as tools\, datasets\, standards\, events and training. The 
 workshop will provide a forum for bioinformaticians to discuss pros and co
 ns as well as general best practices when it comes to registries. It will 
 also offer a hands on session on submission (content upload)\, disseminati
 on (content pull) and visualisation. The final session will be a writing a
 ctivity: based on the experience gained through the day\, participants and
  faculty will write a review of existing registries\, a guide for how to u
 se registry information and summarise the next challenges.\n\n
