DESCRIPTION:The [Ensembl project](http://www.ensembl.org/) provides an inte
 rface and an infrastructure for accessing genomic information\, including 
 genes\, variants\, comparative genomics and gene regulation data\, coverin
 g over 300 vertebrate species. \n\nThis workshop is aimed at researchers a
 nd developers interested in exploring Ensembl beyond the website. The work
 shop covers how to use the Ensembl [REST APIs](http://rest.ensembl.org/)\,
  including understanding the major endpoints and how to write scripts to c
