DESCRIPTION:The successful uptake of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in r
 esearch\, regulatory decision-making\, and standardisation depends not onl
 y on scientific excellence\, but also on how data and other research outpu
 ts are generated\, documented\, managed\, and shared. Poorly structured or
  insufficiently described data remain a major barrier to reproducibility\,
  validation\, regulatory acceptance\, and long-term reuse.\n\nThis pre-con
 gress workshop will provide a practical and accessible introduction to res
 earch output management tailored specifically to NAMs\, with a strong focu
 s on Data Management Plans (DMPs)\, the FAIR principles (Findable\, Access
 ible\, Interoperable\, Reusable)\, and emerging expectations from funders\
 , regulators\, and international organisations. Participants will learn wh
 y DMPs are more than a formal requirement\, how they can be used as a stra
 tegic tool throughout the lifecycle of a NAM\, and how FAIR-aligned data p
 ractices support:\n- method validation and transfer\,\n- cross-laboratory 
 comparability\,\n- integration into Defined Approaches and IATA\,\n- regul
 atory review and long-term impact.\n\nThe workshop will also address resea
 rch outputs beyond raw data\, including protocols\, metadata\, models\, on
 tologies\, reports\, and digital tools\, and will discuss how these output
 s can be structured to maximise visibility\, credibility\, and reuse in li
 ne with Open Science and regulatory needs. Through concrete examples drawn
  from EU-funded projects and real-world NAM applications\, the workshop wi
 ll highlight common pitfalls\, practical solutions\, and realistic workflo
 ws that can be implemented without excessive administrative burden.
