DESCRIPTION:The 2017 EuBIC Winter School on proteomics bioinformatics spons
 ored by the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) will bring together sci
 entists in the field of proteomics and bioinformatics for proteomics. It i
 s organized by the European Bioinformatics Community (EuBIC)\, an initiati
 ve of the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) for user-oriented bioinfo
 rmatics. \nThe winter school will start with an educational day dedicated 
 to workshops and trainings in established proteomics tools and workflows. 
 In addition\, a dedicated hackathon will be organized\, where bioinformati
 cians will be invited to improve their programming skills and methods toge
 ther in an open\, constructive\, and productive atmosphere. \nBesides thes
 e practical sessions on the first day\, internationally renowned invited s
 peakers will give lectures and practical workshops covering the aspects of
  identification\, quantification\, result interpretation\, and integration
  of MS proteomics data. This year’s special topic is the biological inte
 rpretation of proteomics data\, that will be covered in talks from special
 ists in pathway and network analysis.\n\nAdditionally\, participants will 
 have the opportunity to present their scientific work in poster sessions a
 nd selected flash talks.\n\n\nThe EuBIC Winter School will consist of \n
