DESCRIPTION:Note: This iteration of the course is currently not open for bo
 oking. However\, please [register here](http://bioinfotraining.bio.cam.ac.
 uk/booking-form/?event-id=5879216&amp\;course-title=Expression%20Proteomic
s%20analysis%20in%20R%20in-person%20INTERESTED) to be notified when spaces
become available. Your registration ensures you will be the first to know
.\n \n \n\n\nThis workshop focuses on expression proteomics\, which ai
ms to characterise the protein diversity and abundance in a particular sys
tem. \nYou will learn about the bioinformatic analysis steps involved when
working with these kind of data\, in particular several dedicated proteom
ics Bioconductor packages\, part of the R programming language. \nWe will
use a real-world dataset obtained from a tandem mass tag (TMT) mass spectr
ometry experiment. \nWe cover the basic data structures used to store and
manipulate protein abundance data\, how to do quality control and filterin
g of the data\, as well as several visualisations. \nFinally\, we include
statistical analysis of differential abundance across sample groups (e.g.
control vs. treated) and further evaluation and biological \ninterpretatio
n of the results via gene ontology analysis. \nBy the end of this workshop
you should have the skills to make sense of expression proteomics data\,
from start to finish.\n\n\nIf you do not have a University of Cambridge [R
 aven account](https://legacy.raven.cam.ac.uk/auth/account/) please book or
  register your interest [here](http://bioinfotraining.bio.cam.ac.uk/bookin

Additional information\n\n* ♿ The training room is located on the first
floor and there is currently no wheelchair or level access.\n* Our courses
are only free for registered University of Cambridge students. All other
