 nts:\nThis practical introduction to programming languages will cover all 
 basic concepts needed to program in Python3 while also demonstrating how t
 o showcase code and its results on a website. Thanks to its simple syntaxe
 s and its wide range of usages\, the programming language Python is consid
 ered an excellent candidate to begin a programming journey.\n\nIt continue
 s to maintain its position as one of the most popular programming language
 s\, as evidenced by a 2022 survey where it ranks 4th among the most favour
 ed programming languages for developers.\n\nThe course is built upon the C
 arpentries online learning materials. The Carpentries is a nonprofit organ
 isation that teaches software engineering and data science skills to resea
 rchers in order to conduct efficient\, open\, and reproducible research.  
 Their volunteer instructors (4287) have run 4000+ Workshops in 65 countrie
 s since 2012\, with 450+ alone in 2022. All of their lesson materials are 
 freely reusable under the Creative Commons - Attribution licence.\n\nWe ar
 e offering a 2-day workshop\, with the primary goal of introducing Python 
 3 programming to individuals who have limited or no prior programming expe
 rience. You will learn everything from setting up your programming environ
 ment to understanding how packages\, loops\, and functions work in Python.
  Additionally\, there will be a more detailed introduction to Python libra
 ries like Pandas or Matplotlib\, where you for example can create your own
  plots.\n\nLearning Goals:\nBy the end of this workshop\, you will be able
  to:\n\nEdit\, manage\, and run code using Jupyter notebook\nWrite small p
 rograms that assign scalar values to variables and perform calculations wi
 th those values\nRecognize and use different data types\nUse built-in func
 tions\nImport external libraries\nWork on a dataframe using the external l
 ibrary Pandas\nPlot data using the Matplotlib library\nUse lists\, for loo
 ps\, and conditionals in Python\nWrite simple functions\nPrerequisites:\n\
 nThere is no need for programming or informatics skills but a basic unders
 tanding of what files and directories are is required\nPC/Laptop with an u
 p-to-date browser. Chrome\, Safari and Firefox browsers are all supported 
 (some older browsers\, including Internet Explorer version 9 and below\, a
 re not )\nPython3 installed on your laptop (You will receive installation 
 instructions along with your acceptance letter).\nYou will need a PC/Lapto
 p with Admin permissions. If you do not have these permissions\, please be
