DESCRIPTION:Annotation\n\nYou learn the basics of OpenACC\, a high-level pr
 ogramming language for programming on GPUs. Discover how to accelerate the
  performance of your applications beyond the limits of CPU-only programmin
 g with simple pragmas. You will learn:\n\n\n	How to profile and optimize y
 our CPU-only applications to identify hot spots for acceleration\n	How to 
 use OpenACC directives to GPU accelerate your codebase\n	How to optimize d
 ata movement between the CPU and GPU accelerator\n\n\nThe lectures are int
 erleaved with many hands-on sessions using Jupyter Notebooks. The exercise
 s will be done on a fully configured GPU-accelerated workstation in the cl
 oud.\n\nThis training is a part of NVIDIA AI &amp\; HPC ACADEMY 2020.\n\nT
 he workshop is co-organized by LRZ\, IT4Innovations and NVIDIA Deep Learni
 ng Institute (DLI) for the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (P
 RACE). Both IT4Innovations and LRZ\, as part of GCS\, are PRACE Training C
 entres\, serve as European hubs and key drivers of advanced high-quality t
 raining for researchers working in the computational sciences.\n\nNVIDIA D
 LI offers hands-on training for developers\, data scientists\, and researc
 hers looking to solve challenging problems with deep learning.\n\nAll inst
 ructors are NVIDIA certified University Ambassadors.\n\nLevel\n\nBeginner\
 n\nLanguage\n\nEnglish\n\nPurpose of the course\n\nUpon completion\, you'l
 l be ready to use OpenACC to GPU accelerate CPU-only applications.\n\nAbou
 t the tutor\n\nDr. Volker Weinberg studied physics at the Ludwig Maximilia
 n University of Munich and later worked at the research centre DESY. He re
 ceived his PhD from the Free University of Berlin for his studies in the f
 ield of lattice QCD. Since 2008 he is working in the HPC group at the Leib
 niz Supercomputing Centre and is education and training coordinator at LRZ
 . Volker is an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) certified OpenACC inst
 ructor participating in the University Ambassador program. Within PRACE\, 
 the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe\, he is leading the workp
 ackage WP5 "HPC Commissioning and Prototyping".\n\nNVIDIA Deep Learning In
 stitute\n\nThe NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute delivers hands-on training f
 or developers\, data scientists\, and engineers. The program is designed t
 o help you get started with training\, optimizing\, and deploying neural n
 etworks to solve real-world problems across diverse industries such as sel
 f-driving cars\, healthcare\, online services\, and robotics.\n\nAcknowled
