        About the Event:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and associated privacy notices have dominated data protection discussions recently. But what difference do they make for survey statisticians? There are special considerations for both research and statistics. And retaining the trust of respondents by protecting their anonymity has always been a feature of professional survey practice. Social statisticians and social researchers will hear about the guidance from the GSS and UKRI and wider imperatives for ethical practice.

Ross Young - UK Statistics Authority
Maria Sigala - Economic and Social Research Council

Scott Summers - UK Data Service
            David Hand - Imperial College

Chair: Nick Moon - Moonlight Research
