DESCRIPTION:\n	Many-core programming is a very dynamic research area. Many
scientific applications have been ported to GPU architectures during the p
ast four years. We will give an introduction to CUDA\, OpenCL\, and multi-
GPU programming using examples of increasing complexity. After introducing
the basics the focus will be on optimization and tuning of scientific app
lications. Topics covered will include:\n\n Programming models: CUDA\, Op
enACC\, OpenCL\n	\n Using libraries as interface for GPU programming (e.g
 . Thrust)\n	\n Partitioning and granularity of parallel applications\n	\n
 		Debugging and profiling of kernels\n	\n Performance optimizations\n	\n
 	Multi-GPU programming using MPI\n\n	Prerequisites: Knowledge in C\nThis c
ourse is a Prace Advanced Training Centres (PATC) course.Application \nReg
istrations are only considered until 31 March 2013\;\ndue to available spa
ce\, the maximal number of participants is limited.\nApplicants will be no
tified\, whether they are accepted for participitation on 2 April 2013.Ins
 tructors:\nDr. Jan Meinke\, Jochen Kreutz\, Peter Philippen\, Willi Homber
