DESCRIPTION: All the PATC courses at BSC are free of charge.\n\nCourse con
vener: Xavier Martorell\n\nObjectives:This tutorial will introduce the aud
ience to the BSC tools for heterogenous programming on FPGA devices. It de
scribes OmpSs@FPGA\, as a productive programming environment for compute s
ystems with FPGAs.\n\nMore specifically\, the tutorial will:\n\n\n	Introdu
ce the OmpSs@FPGA programming model\, how to write\, compile and execute a
pplications on FPGAs\n	Show the "implements" feature to explot parallelism
across cores and IP cores\n	Demonstrate how to analyze applications to de
termine which portions can be executed on FPGAs\, and use OmpSs@FPGA to pa
rallelize/optimize them.\n\n\nLearning Outcomes: The students who finish
this course will be able to develop benchmarks and simple applications wit
h the OmpSs@FPGA programming model to be executed in FPGA boards\, like Ze
dboard or Xilinx ZCU102.\n\nLevel: \n\nINTERMEDIATE: for trainees with som
e theoretical and practical knowledge\; those who finished the beginners c
ourse\n\nADVANCED: for trainees able to work independently and requiring g
uidance for solving complex problems\n\nRequirements:  \n\n\n	Good knowle
dge of C/C++\n	Basic knowledge of acceleration architectures and offloadin
 g models\n	Basic knowledge of Paraver/Extrae\n\nhttps://events.prace-ri.eu
