DESCRIPTION:The registration of this course is now open. Please\, bring yo
ur own laptop.  All the PATC courses at BSC are free of charge.\n\nCourse
convener: Xavier Martorell\n\nObjectives:This tutorial will introduce the
audience to the BSC tools for heterogenous programming on FPGA devices. I
t describes OmpSs@FPGA\, as a productive programming environment for compu
te systems with FPGAs.\n\nMore specifically\, the tutorial will:\n\n\n	Int
roduce the OmpSs@FPGA programming model\, how to write\, compile and execu
te applications on FPGAs\n	Show the "implements" feature to explot paralle
lism across cores and IP cores\n	Demonstrate how to analyze applications t
o determine which portions can be executed on FPGAs\, and use OmpSs@FPGA t
o parallelize/optimize them.\n\n\nLearning Outcomes: The students who fin
ish this course will be able to develop benchmarks and simple applications
with the OmpSs@FPGA programming model to be executed in FPGA boards\, lik
e Zedboard or Xilinx ZCU102.\n\nLevel: \n\nINTERMEDIATE: for trainees with
some theoretical and practical knowledge\; those who finished the beginne
rs course\n\nADVANCED: for trainees able to work independently and requiri
ng guidance for solving complex problems\n\nRequirements:  \n\n\n	Good kn
owledge of C/C++\n	Basic knowledge of acceleration architectures and offlo
 ading models\n	Basic knowledge of Paraver/Extrae\n\n\nAgenda:\n\nSession 1
