DESCRIPTION:All PATC Courses at BSC do not charge fees.\n \n\nLocal Web Pa
ge:\nThis is an expansion of the topic "OpenACC and other approaches to GP
U computing" covered on this year's and last year's editions of the Introd
uction to CUDA Programming.\n\n\nConvener: Antonio Peña\, Computer Scienc
es Senior Researcher\, Accelerators and Communications for High Performanc
e Computing\, BSC\n\n\nObjectives: \n\nAs an NVIDIA GPU Center of Excelle
nce\, BSC and UPC are deeply involved in research and outreach activities
around GPU Computing. OpenACC is a high-level\, directive-based programmin
g model for GPU computing. It is a very convenient language to leverage th
e GPU power with minimal code modifications\, being the preferred option f
or non computer scientists. This course will cover the necessary topics to
get started with GPU programming in OpenACC\, as well as some advanced to
pics.\n\nThe target audiences of the course are students who want to deve
lop exciting applications for these processors\, as well as those who want
to develop programming tools and future implementations for these process
ors.\n\nLevel: \nBEGINNERS: for trainees from different background or ver
y little knowledge.\n\nFurther information:\n\n\nIn the context of virtual
meetings\, the Organiser may facilitate live webstreaming and audio recor
ding. You have the option to opt out of inclusion in recordings by contact
ing our Education&amp\;Training team.\n\n\nCONTACT US for further details
about MSc\, PhD\, Post Doc studies\, exchanges and collaboration in educat
ion and training with BSC.\nFor further details about Postgraduate Studies
in UPC - Barcelona School of Informatics (FiB)\, visit the website\n\n\n\
nSponsors: BSC and PRACE 6IP project are funding the PATC @ BSC training e
vents.\nIf you want to learn more about PRACE Project\, visit the website.
