This course is intended to be an Introduction to the Python programming language. Through the use of taught material and practical examples, participants will build up the skills needed to perform data analysis using Python.
Learning Outcomes
The individual will have a good working knowledge of Python allowing them to deal with and manipulate data. The final afternoon will bring all this together with a larger scale set of data which the attendees will perform data analysis upon.
Topics Covered
Day 1: Introducing the Python Eco System, Types, Variables and Data Structure, Functions and Objects
Day 2: Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib introduction, Data Anaylsis with Python
Target Audience
This course will appeal to anyone wanting to learn Python with no prior knowledge. The course will also appeal to individuals with a basic knowledge of Python who want to fully understand how the base language works. The course also appeals to those wanting to know and understand the package Pandas and the use of dataframes in Python.
