  so already).\n# Overview\nShiny is an open-source R package that allows b
 uilding interactive web applications from R\, and without knowledge of web
 -development\, enabling data scientists to make their data or analysis int
 eractively explorable and accessible to colleagues\, end-users\, and/or fo
 r publication.\n\nIn this course\, we will introduce the R Shiny framework
 \, and equip R programmers with the basic tools to build and deploy their 
 own web apps.\n\n# Audience\nLife scientists\, bioinformaticians\, and any
  R users who are interested in developing an interactive web application t
 o communicate their data or analysis to other non-programmers.\n\n# Learni
 ng objectives\nAt the end of the course\, the participants will be able to
 :\n* describe Shiny framework structure: server and user interface \n* cre
 ate their own Shiny applications\n* edit existing Shiny applications avail
 able  in the Gallery\n* use various built-in input widgets\n* use R script
 s and data embedded in Shiny web application\n* illustrate reactive expres
 sions\n* share Shiny applications and learn different deployment strategie
 s\n\n\n# Prerequisites\n#### Knowledge / competencies\n\nThis course is de
 signed for advanced R programmers\; participants should have experience in
  programming in R\, equivalent to at least the combination of the SIB cour
 ses “First steps with R” and “Intermediate R”.\n\n#### Technical\n
 You will need a computer with the latest versions of [R](https://www.r-pro
 ject.org/) and [RStudio](https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download
 /)  installed. \n\n# Application\n\n\nThe registration fees are **100 CHF*
 * for academics and **500 CHF** for companies.\n\nWhile participants are r
 egistered on a first come\, first serve basis\, exceptions may be made to 
 ensure diversity and equity.\n\nYou will be informed by email of your regi
 stration confirmation. Upon reception of the confirmation email\, particip
 ants will be asked to confirm attendance by paying the fees within 5 days.
 \n\nDeadline for free-of-charge cancellation is set to **17/04/2023**. Can
 cellation after this date will not be reimbursed. Please note that partici

  will be streamed. The course will start at 9:00 CET and end around 17:00
