Large-Scale Parallel Debugging with DDT @ EPCC
Date: 12 April 2013 @ 08:00 - 16:00
As parallel codes grow ever larger and run on an increasing number of cores, naive methods for debugging and profiling cease to be practical. For large applications it is essential to use tools to aid in debugging for correctness, and in profiling for identification of performance hotspots.
This course covers the use of the portable DDT debugger, with examples run on the HECToR Cray XE6 system.
Note that there is also a one-day course covering Large-Scale Parallel Profiling with VAMPIR, to be held on Monday 8th April.
