 .Prot &amp\; CAU) \nDominik Kopczynski\, Nina Troppmair\, Robert Ahrends (
 Uni Vienna - Associated partner) \n\nDate:\nMonday\, September 7th\, 2026\
 n10:00 - 16:30\n\nAgenda:\n\nMorning\n10:00 – 10:20 Part 1: Welcome and
 Introduction (Dominik Schwudke)\n10:20 – 12:00 Part 2: Shotgun Lipidomic
s with LipidXplorer &amp\; lxPostman (Ballal Hossen &amp\; Dominik Schwudk
 e)\n\n12:00 – 13:00 Lunch Break\n\nAfternoon\n13:00 – 14:00 Part 3: Li

 0 – 16:00 Part 4: FAIR Lipidomics &amp\; LipidCompass (Sanjay Kumar Srik
 akulam &amp\; Nils Hoffmann)\n16:00 – 16:30 Questions\, Discussion and F
eedback\n\nLocation:\nOn-Site training as part of 11th Lipidomics Forum 20
26 in Borstel.\n\nContents:\nIn the first part of the course\, we will pro
vide insights into using LipidXplorer to identify and quantify lipids from
shotgun lipidomics and will inspect\, check\, and normalize the data and
calculate absolute quantities using internal class-specific standards with
lxPostman. In part two\, we will work through an example of targeted LC-M
S lipidomics with LipidCreator and Skyline. Part three will cover FAIR asp
ects for lipidomics data and different lipidomics tools for comparison\, v
isualization\, and enrichtment\, like MapToGo\, LipidSpace and LipidCompas
 s. The course will consist of a short theory and background overview of th
e employed programs complemented by applying the tools to provided data se
ts. \n\nLearning goals:\nParticipants will be able to understand and expla
in the targeted shotgun MS and LC-MS workflows for lipidomics. They will l
earn the fundamentals of the FAIR principles with respect to lipidomics da
ta\, they will learn to apply lipidomics software tools used and how to ch
oose parameters for them. They will learn to understand and interpret the
results of each pipeline step.\n\nPrerequisites:\nBasic knowledge of lipid
omics\, analytical workflows in lipidomics\, and basic familiarity with we
b-based and desktop applications. Please note that you may need to install
software on your computer to fully participate in all exercises requiring
proper rights. The workshop will be a mix of small lecture segments and h
ands-on exercises. The trainers will be available for questions and assist
ance during the workshop. The workshop will be held in person on site.\n\n
 Keywords:\nLipidomics\, Shotgun\, Targeted Analysis\, LC-MSn\, Reporting\,
  Visualization\, Enrichment\n\nTools:\nLipidXplorer\, LipidCreator\, Skyli
 ne\, Goslin\, lxPostman\, LipidSpace\, Reporting Checklist\, MapToGo\, Lip
idCompass\n\nRegistration:\nPlease register for the course by ticking the
LIFS Workshop option on the Lipidomics Forum registration page. (Fee: 20
€)\nWe will contact you prior to the course with instructions to access
 the Moodle course material.
