DESCRIPTION:Bioinformatics is an increasingly important skill for biologica
 l scientists. Many bioinformatic tools can only be run on Unix based opera
 ting systems. This course is aimed at beginners and novices to the command
  line\; it will give an overview of fundamental linix commands\, directory
  navigation\, and file manipulation. The course will act as a perfect prim
 er for those interested in our other Bioinformatic courses.\n\nPlaces are 
 restricted to UK-based researchers and only 30places are available so plea
 se only register if you intend on attending.\n\nThe workshop will be held 
 over one day on Tuesday 7/10\, 10am-4pm\, with registration opening 9.30am
 .\n\nThe deadline to register is Monday 22/9\, 2 weeks before the course.
