DESCRIPTION:This course will introduce participants to a variety of populat
 ion genomics analyses for large next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets.
  It will include discussion on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) callin
 g and filtering options\, an introduction to population genomics statistic
 s\, examining genetic structure\, and Fst-based analyses such as outlier d
 etection/genomic islands of divergence.\n\nPlaces are restricted to UK-bas
 ed researchers and only 30 places are available so please only register if
  you intend on attending.\n\nThe workshop will be held over two days on Tu
 esday 14 and Thursday 16 May\, 10am-4pm\, with registration opening 9.30am
  on Tuesday.\n\nThe deadline to register is Monday 29th April\, 2 weeks be
 fore the course. You will hear later that week whether you have been invit
