DESCRIPTION:Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations of lipid bilayers are nowada
 ys used almost routinely to study various cell-membrane-related phenomena\
 , such as drug–membrane interactions and lipid-mediated signaling. The a
 im of the NMRlipids summerschool is to give an introduction to MD simulati
 ons of lipid bilayers\, and their quality evaluation against NMR spectrosc
 opy and X-ray scattering data\, as well as\, to the NMRlipids open collabo
 ration project and the NMRlipids Databank. The course hands-on exercises d
 emonstrate how lipid bilayer properties can be analysed over hundreds of
  trajectories in the NMRlipids databank in automatic and flexible manner.T
 arget group: Students and researchers who are already using or are potenti
 ally interested in using MD simulations of lipid bilayers\, open collabora
 tion methods\, or analysis of large publicly available datasets in their r
 esearch. Particular focus of the winterschool is on the recently developed
  NMRlipids Databank\, which enables novel analyses of publicly available M
 D simulation data also for researchers lacking special expertise in MD sim
 ulations. The winterschool will be followed by a meeting for people intere
 sted in the NMRlipids Databank development. Registration: Number of onsit
