DESCRIPTION:\nThis course will be delivered as an ONLINE COURSE for remote 
 participation \ndue to the COVID-19 measures enforced by most European go
 vernments.\n\n\nDescription\n\n\nThe course discusses more advanced topics
  in MPI programming\, such as user defined datatypes\, as well as parallel
  I/O using MPI I/O and HDF5. The course consists of lectures and hands-on 
 exercises on parallel programming.\n\nThis course is part of CSC Autumn of
  HPC 2021\, a set of five two day modules teaching essential skills in par
 allel programming for modern GPU-accelerated supercomputers and organised 
 by CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd (Finland) under PRACE Training Centr
 es activity.\n\n\nLearning outcome\n\nAfter the course the participants k
 now how to define custom data types and read and write files efficiently i
 n parallel.\n\nPrerequisites and content level\n\nThe participants are ass
 umed to have working knowledge of Fortran and/or C/C++ programming languag
 es and skills discussed in the course "Parallel programming with MPI".\n\n
 The content level of the course is broken down as: beginner's - 14%\, in
 termediate - 51%\, advanced - 35%\, community-targeted content - 0%.\n\n\n
