 scription\n\nThe introduction of container technologies has deeply modifie
 d the way in which software stacks\ncan be developed\, deployed\, tested\,
  shared and executed in production environments. Although such a revolutio
 nary way of work was initially used in enterprise and company\, it is bein
 g now adopted in High Performance Computing environments also. Many contai
 nerization tools suitable for High Performance Computing systems have been
  developed in the last years\, such as Singularity\, Shifter\, Charlieclou
 d\, Podman\, Sarus and so on. All of them allow researchers to deploy a co
 mplete software stack for their workflows\, achieving flexibility\, reliab
 ility\, ease of deployment\, and portability that containers allow.\nThrou
 gh this course\, participants will be introduced into the possibility of b
 uilding and running both their own or pre-built applications and software 
 stacks using HPC containerization tools.\nThe course will be mainly focuse
 d on Singularity. Some information covering other containerization tools w
 ill be also provided.\n\nThe course spans in 4 morning days. Theoretical l
 essons will be interspersed with exercise sessions to fix the concepts exp
 lained.\n\n\nTarget Audience:\n\nPRACE users\, final year master students\
 , PhD students\, and young researchers in\ncomputational sciences and engi
 neering\, with different backgrounds\, interested in applying the\ncontain
 erization technologies on high performance computing to their research.\n\
 n\nPrerequisites:\n\nUnix-Linux operating system knowledge\; software inst
 allation on linux-unix OS\; experiences in running applications on HPC clu
