DESCRIPTION:GPU-accelerated computing drives current scientific research. W
 riting fast numeric algorithms for GPUs offers high application performanc
 e by offloading compute-intensive portions of the code to the GPU. The cou
 rse will cover basic aspects of GPU architectures and programming. Focus i
 s on the usage of the directive-based OpenACC programming model which allo
 ws for portable application development. Examples of increasing complexity
  will be used to demonstrate optimization and tuning of scientific applica
 tions.\n\n\nTopics covered will include:\n\n\n	Introduction to GPU/Paralle
 l computing\n	Programming model OpenACC\n	Interoperability of OpenACC with
  GPU libraries (like cuBLAS and cuFFT) and CUDA\n	Multi-GPU Programming wi
 th MPI and OpenACC\n	Tools for debugging and profiling\n	Performance optim
 ization\n\n\nThe course consists of lectures and interactive hands-on sess
 ions in C or Fortran (the attendee’s choice).\n\nThis course will take p
 lace as an online event. The link to the online platform will be provided 
 to the registrants only.\n\n\n\n\nPrerequisites: Some knowledge about Linu
 x\, e.g. make\, command line editor\, Linux shell (see for instance this o
 verview)\, a little experience in C/Fortran\n\nApplication \nRegistrations
  are only considered until 2 November 2020\, the maximal number of partici
 pants is limited. Applicants will be notified\, whether they are accepted
