DESCRIPTION:This course will take place as an online event. The link to the
  streaming platform will be provided to the accepted registrants only.\n\n
 GPU-accelerated computing drives current scientific research. Writing fast
  numeric algorithms for GPUs offers high application performance by offloa
 ding compute-intensive portions of the code to an NVIDIA GPU. The course w
 ill cover basic aspects of GPU architectures and programming. Focus is on 
 the usage of the parallel programming language CUDA C/C++ which allows max
 imum control of NVIDIA GPU hardware. Examples of increasing complexity wil
 l be used to demonstrate optimization and tuning of scientific application
 s.\n\nTopics covered will include:\n\n\n	Introduction to GPU/Parallel comp
 uting\n	Programming model CUDA\n	GPU libraries like cuBLAS and cuFFT\n	Too
 ls for debugging and profiling\n	Performance optimizations\n	Advanced GPU 
 programming model\n	CUDA Fortran in a nutshell\n\n\nPrerequisites: Some kn
 owledge about Linux\, e.g. make\, command line editor\, Linux shell\, expe
