DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday 13th April 2021\, the NanoCommons team\, in a joint
initiative with the NanoSafety Cluster\, will offer an entry-level worksho
p on in silico nanotoxicology\, providing users with easy (no installation
s required) access to Jaqpot\, a powerful and versatile nanotoxicological
in silico prediction platform\, enabled through powerful Google Colab note
books.\n\nUsers will receive training from the expert team from the Nation
al Technical University of Athens\, who developed the platform\, on how to
develop a Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) model and p
ublish it as a web application through the Jaqpot platform with minimal pr
ogramming skills requirements. Models built on Jaqpot can be used over the
graphical user interface or across platforms over the API and can be shar
ed to groups with controlled access and rights. \n\nThe expected duration
is 90 minutes with time for discussion and support during the session (by
breakout rooms) and afterwards.\n\nTarget audience: Bench and computationa
l scientists looking into ways to enrich their data using in silico modell
ing procedures available to the community.\n\nExpectation: Willing to lear
n new things and active participation in the interactive hackathon.\n\nThe
training ervent will take place on Tuesday April 13th from 15:00 till app
roximately 16:30 h CEST.\n\nFeel free to join and please do not forget to
 register here:\nhttps://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2411963887345622
287\n\nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containin
g information about joining the hackathon.\n\nPlease\, be aware that some
personal information may be collected for statistical purposes\, however\,
in a blinded and anonymous way. The workshop will be partially recorded f
or educational purposes.\n\nYou will find updates with more information ab
out NanoCommons and training materials here.\n\nFeel free to redistribute
this information within your projects and networks. We are happy to have a
s many participants as possible and to help the community with the FAIRifi
cation of their data by offering insight into application of in silico QSA
R modelling in a more straightforward way.\n\nThe NanoCommons team will be
happy to answer your questions and to guide you in your requests!
