DESCRIPTION:Pangenome graphs are a novel approach to the problem of represe
 nting the genomic diversity present in a population. Instead of describing
  genomes in a linear fashion\, as is done conventionally\, pangenome graph
 s represent population diversity as a network\, compacting similar sequenc
 es and implicitly encoding variation. In this session\, we will discuss di
 fferent types of pangenome graphs and their applications\, as well as tool
 s developed by our group that leverage pangenome graphs to improve the acc
 uracy of conventional bioinformatics tasks.
