 urse provides hands-on training in the basics of mass spectrometry (MS) an
 d proteomics bioinformatics approaches\, search engines and post-processin
 g software\, quantitative proteomics approaches and related statistical co
 ncepts\, MS proteomics data repositories and public data re-use\, how to e
 mploy existing databases for protein analysis\, perform the annotation of 
 subsequent protein lists and the incorporation of information from molecul
 ar interaction and pathway databases.\n\n#### **Virtual course**\n\nPartic
 ipants will learn via a mix of **pre-recorded lectures**\, **live presenta
 tions**\, and **trainer Q&amp\;A sessions**. Practical experience will be 
 developed through group activities and trainer-led computational exercises
 . Live sessions will be delivered using [Zoom](https://zoom.us/) with ad
 ditional support and communication via [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-
 gb/). \n\nPre-recorded material will be made available to registered part
 icipants prior to the start of the course and two weeks before the course\
 , there will be a brief induction session. Computational practicals will 
 run on EMBL-EBI's virtual training infrastructure\, meaning participants w
 ill not require access to a powerful computer or install complex software 
 on their own machines.\n\nParticipants will need to be available between t
 he hours of 09:00-17:30 BST each day of the course. Trainers will be avail
 able to assist\, answer questions\, and further explain the analysis durin
 g these times.
