DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nPython programming language has become popular i
 n scientific computing due to many benefits it offers for fast code develo
 pment. Unfortunately\, the performance of pure Python programs is often su
 b-optimal\, but fortunately this can be easily remedied. In this course we
  teach various ways to optimise and parallelise Python programs. Among the
  topics are performance analysis\, efficient use of NumPy arrays\, extendi
 ng Python with more efficient languages (Cython)\, and parallel computing 
 with  message passing (mpi4py) approach.\n\nLearning outcome\n\nAfter the
  course participants are able to\n\n\n	analyse performance of Python progr
 am and use NumPy more efficiently\n	optimize Python programs with Cython\n
 	utilize external libraries in Python programs\n	write simple parallel pro
 grams with Python\n\n\nPrerequisites\n\nParticipants need some experience 
 in Python programming\, but expertise is not required. One should be famil
 iar with\n\n\n	Python syntax\n	Basic builtin datastructures (lists\, tuple
 s\, dictionaries)\n	Control structures (if-else\, for\, while)\n	Writing f
 unctions and modules\n\n\nSome previous experience on NumPy will be useful
