About the event

This half-day meeting is being held to celebrate the career (to date) of Malcolm Farrow, who is retiring in August 2019. Malcolm has been an academic statistician at the Universities of Hull and Sunderland and, most recently, Newcastle University. He is an important voice in the generation of pioneering Bayesian statisticians and has supervised a community of young Bayesians through their Masters and PhD theses. Malcolm has also been a stalwart supporter of the North Eastern Local Group of the RSS, serving at various times as chair, secretary, treasurer and committee member.
The programme for the meeting will include talks from some of Malcolm's collaborators and peers, as well as a presentation from his final research student, Christy Wharton.

You can register for the meeting here.
