DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join this webinar which is part of the 202
3-SYBEL Commissioned Service presented by the ELIXIR Systems Biology Com
munity. \n\nOver the last decade\, a wealth of multiomics data has been p
roduced and jointly analyzed to improve biomedical predictions and infer r
egulatory networks. Although numerous methods have been developed for the
analysis and integration of these data\, two aspects have been consistentl
y overlooked: the detailed characterization of differences in signal-to-no
ise ratios across omics methods and their impact on experimental design an
d conclusions\, as well as the controlled annotation of multiomics data to
ensure reproducibility and the correct application of statistical assumpt
ions. I will present the efforts of my lab to address both fronts\, repres
ented by two software tools\, MultiPower (PMID: 32555183) and STATEgraEM
S (PMID: 25033091). My goal is to foster discussions on how the ELIXIR S
B community can advance the state of the field in these areas.\n\nThe reco
rding of this event will be uploaded to the ELIXIR Europe Youtube channel\
 n\n
