DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE The Bioinformatics Team are presently teaching as m
any courses live online. We aim to simulate the classroom experience as cl
osely as possible\, with opportunities for one-to-one discussion with tuto
rs and a focus on interactivity throughout.\n\nData analyses usually entai
l the application of many command line tools or scripts to transform\, fil
ter\, aggregate or plot data and results. With ever increasing amounts of
data being collected in science\, reproducible and scalable automatic work
flow management becomes increasingly important. \n\nThe [Snakemake](https:
//snakemake.readthedocs.io/en/stable/) workflow management system is a too
l to create reproducible and scalable data analyses. Workflows are describ
ed via a human readable\, Python based language. They can be seamlessly sc
aled to server\, cluster\, grid and cloud environments\, without the need
to modify the workflow definition. Finally\, Snakemake workflows can entai
l a description of required software\, which will be automatically deploye
d to any execution environment.\n\nWith over 200k downloads on Bioconda\,
and on average 6 new citations per week\, Snakemake is a widely used and a
ccepted standard for reproducible data science that has powered numerous h
igh impact publications.\n\nThis 1-day workshop will teach how to use Snak
emake for reproducible data analysis.\n\nPlease note that if you are not e
ligible for a University of Cambridge [Raven](http://www.ucs.cam.ac.uk/doc
s/faq/raven/n5) account you will need to Book or register Interest by link
 ing [here](http://bioinfotraining.bio.cam.ac.uk/booking-form/?event-id=382
