DESCRIPTION:In this four-day bootcamp\, we will cover three core topics to 
 kickstart your computing skills: the Unix shell\, version control with Git
 \, and Programming with Python.\n\nAs we cover these topics\, you will lea
 rn how to:\n\n- use the shell to do more in less time\n- automate your tas
 ks and pipelines\n- write structured programs\n- use Git to manage and sha
 re information\n- how (and how much) to test programs\n\nThis workshop wil
 l be delivered virtually\, via Zoom\, with input from 10:00-15:00 GMT\, in
 cluding breaks (see programme and further information tabs for more detail
 s). \n\nWho is this event for?\nResearchers in the life science and comput
 ational science disciplines. We particularly encourage PhD students and po
 stdoctoral scientists to attend\, but the course is open to everyone\, at 
 any stage of their career. \n\nThe course is aimed at complete beginners\;
  trainees are expected to have very little or no prior knowledge of progra
 mming before attending. However\, we will cover a lot of material and the 
 training is quite fast paced\, so be prepared to fully immerse yourself in
  the world of programming!\n\nRegistration is currently reserved for certa
