DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join this webinar which is part of the 202
3-SYBEL Commissioned Service presented by the ELIXIR Systems Biology Com
munity. \n\nSignal/noise ratio characterization and annotation of multi-o
mics experiments: pending tasks in Systems Biology\n\nPresented by Ana Con
esa\n\nOver the last decade\, a wealth of multiomics data has been produce
d and jointly analyzed to improve biomedical predictions and infer regulat
ory networks. Although numerous methods have been developed for the analys
is and integration of these data\, two aspects have been consistently over
looked: the detailed characterization of differences in signal-to-noise ra
tios across omics methods and their impact on experimental design and conc
lusions\, as well as the controlled annotation of multiomics data to ensur
e reproducibility and the correct application of statistical assumptions.
I will present the efforts of my lab to address both fronts\, represented
by two software tools\, MultiPower (PMID: 32555183) and STATEgraEMS (PMI
D: 25033091). My goal is to foster discussions on how the ELIXIR SB comm
unity can advance the state of the field in these areas.\n\nThe recording
of this event will be uploaded to the ELIXIR Europe Youtube channel\n\n
