DESCRIPTION:Educators:\n- Nils Hoffmann (CAU\, Forschungszentrum Jülich Gm
 bH\, University of Vienna\, Austria) (CAU &amp\; BioInfra.Prot)\n- Dominik
Kopczynski (Skyline &amp\; LipidCreator Tutorial Material\, University of
Vienna\, Austria) (Associated member)\n- Lisa Hahnefeld (Pre-Analytics an
 d study design\, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt und Fraunhofer ITMP\, Germa
 ny)\n\nDate:\nMonday\, February 23rd\, 2026\n\nLocation:\nCentre for Life
 Sciences\, Level 1 auditorium\, 28 Medical Drive\, 117456\, Singapore\n\nC
ontents:\nThe SysMeC Workshop on Lipidomics Data Analysis is part of the S
ysMeC Workshop on Lipidomics Data Analysis and Lipidomics Symposium until
February 25th\, 2026\, with two additional days of tutorials and presentat
ions on Lipidomics Bioinformatics. \n\nThis workshop on February 23rd will
provide an introduction to the field of mass spectrometry-based lipidomic
 s\, pre-analytical and study design challenges\, hands-on with LipidCreato
r and Skyline for targeted lipidomics and quantification\, as well \n\nT
hroughout the training\, attendees will explore state-of-the-art bioinform
atics tools essential for Lipidomics research. They will be introduced to
comprehensive lipidomics workflows\, offering a clear understanding of the
capabilities\, challenges and limitations inherent in Lipidomics from mul
tiple perspectives. This knowledge is crucial for effectively analyzing li
pid data and integrating it with other biological data types.\n\nThe works
hop will feature a mix of engaging lectures and interactive hands-on sessi
ons. The program is designed for PhD students\, postdoctoral fellows\, and
other scientists who have a foundation in bioinformatics\, molecular biol
ogy\, analytical chemistry or medicine and who are eager to expand their e
xpertise in Lipidomics bioinformatics. \n\nParticipants will be equipped w
ith the skills and insights necessary to advance their research and contri
bute to the growing field of Lipidomics\, helping to unlock biological ins
ights that can drive innovative solutions in health and disease management
and other application areas.\n\nLearning goals:\nParticipants will be ins
tructed in (pre-)analytical challenges of Lipidomics. workflows and gain
understanding about the possibilities\, challenges and limitations of Lipi
domics. They will gain hands-on experience in developing and analysing tar
geted lipidomics data and will learn which resources and tools to use for
lipid data analysis and comparison. \n\nPrerequisites:\nThe workshop is ta
rgeted towards early career scientists like PhD students and Postdocs\, bu
t also experienced scientists\, who want to learn more about Lipidomics an
 d Lipidomics Data Analysis.\n\nKeywords:\nLipidomics\, Pre-Analytics and s
tudy design\, Mass Spectrometry\, Data Processing and Analysis\, Visualiza
 tion\n\nTools:\nLipidCreator &amp\; Skyline\, Lipidomics Checklist\, Gosli
 n\, LipidCompass
