DESCRIPTION:**This course will take place on consecutive Wednesdays\, Novem
 ber 8 and  15\, 2023\, in the afternoon.**\n# Overview\n[ASAP](https://asa
 p.epfl.ch/) (Automated Single-cell Analysis Portal) is a web-based\, colla
 borative portal aimed at democratizing single-cell omics data analyses and
  rendering it more accessible to researchers. ASAP does not require any in
 stallation and enables standardized analyses that can be run in minutes by
  any user without requiring significant computing power. The entire single
 -cell analysis pipeline is available in ASAP\, allowing users to choose fr
 om a panel of tools\, and guiding them through tutorials.\n\nThis 6 h cour
 se introduces participants to using ASAP for single-cell analysis\, throug
 h lectures and hands-on exercises.\n\n# Audience\nThis course is addressed
  to students\, postdocs\, and researchers\, from any scientific environmen
 t (academia\, facilities\, companies\, etc.) interested in analyzing singl
 e-cell data.\n\n# Learning outcomes\nAt the end of the course\, the partic
 ipants are expected to:\n* run a single-cell RNA-seq analysis pipeline usi
 ng ASAP\n* choose the best tools and parameters for each analysis step\n* 
 carry out cell-type annotation and downstream analyses\n\n\n# Prerequisite
 s\n##### Knowledge / competencies\nThis course is designed for beginners. 
 Basic knowledge of single-cell analysis (equivalent to the SIB courses [Si
 ngle-cell Transcriptomics](https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20230703_
 ISCTR) or NGS - Single-cell RNA-Seq Analysis) is required.\n##### Technica
